Senior testing help, priced so a small team can say yes.

Every engagement is run by the founder, uses tools your developers already know, and leaves you with code and pipelines you own. No lock-in to us or to RiverProbe.

Offer A · fixed price

Test Automation Starter

CA$3,500

For software teams of 2 to 15 developers with little or no automated testing. Delivered in 2 to 3 weeks, needing about 30 hours of your team's time.

  • Audit of the current test process and the highest-risk flows
  • A working end-to-end framework (Playwright, Cypress, pytest or Selenium, matched to your stack) covering the 10 to 20 flows that matter most
  • The suite running in your CI (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps or Jenkins) with a pass/fail report on every pull request
  • A one-page handover guide and a 60-minute walkthrough

Terms: 50% on signing, 50% on handover. RiverProbe Pro keys for the team can be included at cost.

Good fit when

Releases are scary, bugs reach customers, and nobody has two spare weeks to set testing up properly. You get the setup done once, right, and your developers keep it running.

Offer B · retainer

Fractional QA Lead

CA$95/hour, 10 hours a week minimum

For teams that need a senior quality engineer two days a week without a full-time hire.

  • Test strategy, release sign-off and risk calls
  • Ownership of the automation suite and CI pipeline health
  • Mentoring your developers on testing, review of their tests
  • AI-assisted test generation and triage, introduced carefully with measurable results

Terms: billed weekly, paid within 7 days by e-Transfer or card. One month's notice to end.

Good fit when

You ship every week or two, a QA hire is not in the budget, and you want someone accountable for quality who also makes your developers better at it.

Offer C · scoped per project

AI Document and Content Pipeline

CA$2,500 to CA$6,000

For publishers, training companies, consultancies and anyone who produces reports, manuals, courseware or books from structured source material.

  • Markdown, Word or a database in; print-ready PDF, EPUB, HTML or Word out, with consistent styling, figures and tables
  • AI-assisted drafting, review and quality checks built in, with human sign-off points
  • Repeatable: change the source, rebuild the book

Terms: 50% on signing, 50% on delivery.

Good fit when

The same content is reissued in several formats or editions, and every revision currently costs days of layout work.

How we work

Five steps, no surprises.

  1. 30-minute call. What breaks, how you ship, what you have tried.
  2. Written recommendation within two working days: which offer fits, what it will cover, fixed price or weekly estimate.
  3. Agreement and access. A one-page statement of work; read access to the repository and CI; a shared channel.
  4. Delivery in the open. Work lands as pull requests you review; weekly progress note; nothing hidden in our tooling.
  5. Handover. Walkthrough, guide, and 30 days of e-mail support on what we built.
